PrettyEnergy went to instagram to see what hair products the women in H-Town is using to keep their hair on point this summer……I found PRETTY girl Najaah, who was graciously willing to share her thoughts on one of her favorite hair products…
Silk Elements- Olive Heat Protective Spray
Ok Ladies we all know that when it comes to natural hair it can be a challenge to wear the silky straight styles as our fellow sisters who are on the creamy crack. But If you are team natural like me and just like to have your hair in a wrap every once in a while read carefully. As most of you know the key to a successful flat iron style is products, and since I style my own tresses most of the time I was on a serious search for the right combination. Although I switch up my shampoos and conditioners depending on what style I am going for one thing that remains a staple in my hair rotation is a heat protector. One faithful trip to Sally’s Beauty proved to be successful when I came across a relatively inexpensive heat protector sitting on the counter. I have been using Silk Elements- Olive oil Heat Protective Spray for the last couple of months and I absolutely adore it! Beyond the wonderful fragrance, it is light enough to not weigh my hair down, yet gives you that great sheen as only olive oil can. This product can be used several times in between shampooing or salon visits without that lingering gunk feeling.I have recommended this product to several ladies who all rave about the look and feel of their hair after using it with their heating tools. From the straightest to the most coarse of hair textures everyone agrees the end result is improved. Run out and grab it, you will not be disappointed.

I am currently in the midst of a hair tragedy that many of you may be familiar with, post baby shedding! During my pregnancy my hair was full thick and beautiful. Now…not so much! I am definitely in search of a multi purpose product to provide shine as well as protect my hair from the heat of the flat iron. I am excited to try Megasilk and will report back. Wish me luck!
PRETTY girl Mil
I am sorry to hear about the shedding, I too know how frustrating that can be. Hopefully this product will be able to give your hair the protection that it needs. Good Luck!
I am willing to try anything I have always wore weave thinking that was my only route since my hair was so damage- but lately I have cut all my hair off to start over and not use the “creamy crack” it has been a struggled and I still continue to wear my weave over my natural until I can get some lenght. I am very excited to try this new product for my first venture with natural hair and NO WEAVE!!!!! Wish me luck
****Always pretty girl Vv***
I have been “Natural” for about 2 years now, and this product has helped me a lot. Especially on those Hunid days lol, good luck on all of your future hair endeavors 🙂
Ok, I definitely suoprpt people who wear their hair natural. I tried to wear it natural but I have a lot of hair and the only way I could wear it and have it look nice is if I cut it (my beautician told me this) but I love my hair so I could never do it. Plus, it’s a lot of work since my hair is really thick and it’s long My mom wears her hair natural and it’s beautiful and looks amazing on her. But I hate when people say to wear it any other way but natural is self-hating and it’s unnatural. So are white people who bleach their hair and curl it or straighten it everyday self-hating ? Or the term only apply to girls who wear weaves or perm their hair?i meant to say, it’s, well, unnatural Isn’t it unnatural for white girls to alter the look of their hair, too?White girls wear weaves too what do you call those clip-on things? That’s not real hair.A lot of white actresses wear weaves too!WINTER BLOSSOM you are the same girl who said that you don’t like when black women wear weaves because it’s unnatural so my question for you is why do you care about how black women wear their hair?yeah sunshine same here!
